Yeojin Kim has composed and directed music for short films since 2019. Working with directors, she develops a musical language specific to each film and has also contributed to documentary and web musical projects.

2019년부터 단편영화를 중심으로 이어온 작곡·음악감독 작업이다. 감독과 협업하며 각 영화에 필요한 음악을 만들고 다큐멘터리와 웹뮤지컬 등 서로 다른 영상 형식에서도 작업해왔다.

Music for Mixedup Shaman (Wollam Bosal), directed by Kim Keunho. I composed the score and served as music director. Suyeon, whose mother is Vietnamese, enters the world of Korean shamanism. I researched ritual practice for the first gut scene, then transformed its music for her later makeshift initiation so that it could carry the film’s humour. Vietnamese musical material responds to her character and family story; its encounter with Korean ritual music follows what happens to her.

김근호 감독의 단편영화 《월남보살》을 위한 음악. 첫 의례는 관련 관습을 조사해 음악의 구조를 만들고, 수연이 스스로 시도하는 두 번째 의례에서는 이를 변형해 영화의 유머를 살렸다. 베트남 음악 재료와 한국 굿 음악이 만나는 과정은 인물과 가족의 이야기를 따라간다.
